Riccarda Cappeller M.Sc. M.A.

Riccarda Cappeller is researcher and lecturer at the chair for territorial design and urban planning at Leibniz Universität Hannover. She is trained as architect (MSC) at Bauhaus Universität Weimar, ETSAM Madrid, UBA Buenos Aires and as visual sociologist (MA) at Goldsmiths University London. In 2024 she completed her PhD with the title “Cooperative Architecture. A performative perspective on urban change an architectural design research”. Furthermore, she directed a course on  photography as research medium at MA Coop Design Research, Bauhaus Dessau/Hochschule Anhalt, tutored at ETSAB Barcelona and UNIVPM Ancona. Her research interest is in design theory and methodology, exploring processes of urban change and knowledge creation through artistic and design-driven approaches as well as documentary formats such as film. In parallel to her academic activity, she has worked as freelance author (e.g. Baunetz, Politik&Kultur, IBA Thüringen) and curator (Project DENKSTUBEN in Halle/Saale) and is a member of werkleitz e.V. and GKG.
