Ina-Marie Kapitola studied architecture in Düsseldorf at PBSA and holds an AA Diploma from the Architectural Association, London. She is an assistant professor at the Institute of Urban Design and Planning, Faculty of Urban Design with Prof. Andreas Quednau at Leibniz University in Hannover and works as an architect at different scales: from artifacts and rooms, to architecture and urban narratives. She is a member of the art collective GIKAMA with focus on art in public space. Her academic research concentrates on new forms of collective housing, set-up of communities and the ethics of care in the face of climate change. She is the coordinator of the BA Research and Design Foundation Studio Hannover Voids.
